9.0 Governance & Community

9.0 Governance & Community

Raven Rush is built not just as a game, but as a growing digital nation of racers. Our governance framework ensures that players, token holders, and contributors have a say in the future of the game — from tournament rules to ecosystem expansion.

9.1 DAO Model

Raven Rush will progressively transition into a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) that empowers players and stakeholders to help shape the ecosystem.

Structure:

  • Token-Gated Voting: $RAVEN token holders can vote on key proposals

  • Weighted Influence: Voting power can depend on stake duration, race XP, or governance participation

  • Proposal Categories: Game changes, economy tweaks, roadmap priorities, creator grants, and more

  • Quadratic Voting (Future): To prevent whales from dominating, quadratic voting may be used in major decisions

The DAO will be bootstrapped by the core team, but community ownership is the long-term goal.

9.2 Voting System

Voting occurs on a transparent, chain-verified portal, allowing all stakeholders to participate.

How It Works:

  1. Proposal Creation: Any player can draft a proposal (subject to quorum rules or delegate endorsement)

  2. Discussion Period: Proposals are discussed in Discord/Governance Forum

  3. Voting Snapshot: Token snapshot is taken to prevent manipulation

  4. On-Chain Execution: If a proposal passes, smart contracts can trigger automated outcomes (when applicable)

Examples of What Players Can Vote On:

  • Tournament prize pool formats

  • Car balancing and upgrades

  • New race track themes

  • Creator incentive budgets

  • Token burn or emission changes

9.3 Player Councils

In addition to the DAO, Player Councils offer a lightweight, agile layer of governance focused on feedback, balancing, and gameplay improvement.

Player Council Structure:

  • Role-Based Seats: Racers, creators, tournament winners, and community moderators

  • Seasonal Elections: Councils rotate every few months based on in-game performance and community votes

  • Feedback Power: Councils submit high-impact proposals, beta test new features, and represent segments of the community

Think of this as “democracy by the best racers + most active players.”

9.4 Moderation Framework

Maintaining a fair, competitive, and inclusive game environment requires clear rules, transparency, and enforcement.

Community Safety Systems:

  • Moderation Roles: Discord, in-game chat, and forums will be managed by both team and verified community mods

  • Strike System: Offenders get warnings, penalties, or bans depending on offense level

  • Transparency Reports: The DAO and team will release regular reports on bans, warnings, and enforcement stats

  • Appeal System: Players can dispute penalties through the governance portal

Code of Conduct:

  • No cheating, multi-account farming, or staking abuse

  • No hate speech, spam, or exploitation of bugs

  • Respect racers, creators, and the mod team

Governance turns Raven Rush from a product into a movement — where racers aren’t just players, but co-owners.
